Selling our home

It is time to sell this wonderful 100 year old house and move up closer to Portland to be closer to our children and my new business - Repent Antiques.  We have had many fun times with great memories in this lovely home. I will miss her but we leave her in good condition with a new roof and recent paint job. There are  3 bedrooms in the house and a guest cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and loft. It has a great shop, a greenhouse, a garden shed and underground sprinklers.  I would take all my mature Old English rose bushes with me but am told they must stay...We have chosen Windermere Real Estate with a wonderful broker - Deanna Gillett - her cell is 541-915-9759 if you want to come take a look.  I am not looking forward to the actual move but am ready for a change.  So if you know anyone looking for a great small town and a quiet lifestyle - give Deanna a call. She has lived in Cottage Grove herself a long time.  And now the hard part - finding a new home....   Mary

  1. You did a great job in taking care of your house! Imagine, even it's already a hundred years old, it still looks fresh and new. Its vintage appeal separates it from the other houses waiting in the line. With the look and appeal your house, I'm sure it'll have a new owner soon.

  2. Oh, lovely house! Who wouldn't want to live in a house with a nice garden? I know it's not easy to leave the house where you created countless memories. When you let a house go, don't think that you will lose it. Rather you're only passing it to someone else. It's wonderful to pass something great so they can experience the same thing you did.

  3. It certainly looks wonderful, Mary! Such a shame to have to sell it. Hopefully the new owners will be gentle and take care of it for the years to come. Good luck and have fun with your new business!

  4. Hi, we are in the market for a custom made sign. Are you & your daughter interested? We bought that wonderful cement lion seat at Monticello last year. We are on a late spring garden tour and would like to have a sign indicating the opening to our garden. We have the basic idea and the actual sign which needs to be painted. Our phone is 503 981-7803 and email is cherylrick@msn.com. Please let us know if you are interested. Thank you very much.
