Wicked hath come!

Something wicked this way comes... to our new display at Monticello Antiques in Portland. Sara helped with this one and I was so glad. Lots of fun items - even a taxidermied baby beaver!

Love all the mirrors on the back wall. The cement black cats are perfect too!

From brooms to witches shoes...

Sara painted the Black Cat Farm sign. The oversized witch hats are made by a company that hires only people with disabilities. They are works of art!

So come on down to Monticello Antique Marketplace and get some wicked for your front porch!

Sold....!!!

Yes the Chevy bench sold in a few hours! Gone! To a Chevy lover I hope. Greg is making more but the tailgates can be hard to find. So if anybody has one to sell.. comment at the bottom of this post.

So today I took in another work by Sara - an apple barrel she painted. Oh I am surrounded by talented people! Good job Greg and Sara. Portland supports artists and for that we are grateful. Now I need to take in something to replace the bench - I am a furniture hauler but an artistic one! Thank you Portland...

Chevy lover?

Are you a chevy lover? Well here is a handmade bench using an old chevy tailgate. The rusted tin seat has been sealed. I am lucky to know the family who makes these out of all recycled parts. Heavy, sturdy and ready for a Chevy lover!  Only $395.00 for a one of a kind bench.

Greg also makes these usable sinks out of all recycled parts!  Can't you see it on your front porch full of kale and pumpins? Too clever. This one uses the base from a White sewing machine. If your last name is White....

So the wooden cubbies got moved out back to the Fall Show space. Love them. The show goes on till September 27 so you still have time to come shop it.

The show goes on...

The show goes on..but it goes on without Sara's Greenvale Farmers Market sign and my two white chairs as both sold. So how about a wonderful metal clock face. The pumpkins continue to be big sellers and I pick up more tomorrow. Come see us in Monticello Antique Marketplace at 8600 SE Stark Ave in Portland!

Fall colors at Ferndale Farms

Fall at Ferndale Farms is happening at our booth in Monticello Antique Marketplace on Stark in Portland. The sign was painted by my daughter Sara on an old barn door. It looks old! Amazing job Sara! The old tin sets it off. The pumpkins are all real!

The wooden bench is the perfect entry piece to make a real statement in your home.Almost 10' long!

An old chimney cupboard full of fall color. The cupboards were narrow and sat in front of a chimney to use some of that heat to keep linens dry.

Greenvale County Farmers Market

The Fall Show at Monticello opens on Friday, September 4 at 8:00 am. Here is our back display - The Greenvale County Farmers Market. Everyone loves the old sign - but it is not very old really. My daughter Sara painted it on an old barn door. Isn't it charming! The words are double sided and slide in and out to advertise what is fresh today. Thank you Sara for making this display happen. She also made the white shelf out of an old door. I love that she left the glass doorknob in place. I found the white chippy kitchen shelf, redid the wicker table and upholstered the two white chairs. So this really is a family affair.

All the white pumkins are real and grown by a wonderful family in Hubbard. I love how this job connects me to all these people. Thank you Dylan and Darren - they are amazing pumkins.

My favorite thing in the show (besides that sign) is this vintage copper egg poacher! A rainy morning with poached eggs and a fresh orange juice - sigh!
