Let's go camping!
Summertime is in full swing here in Oregon. What a better way to spend time than go camping in the great outdoors. So our new display at Monticello is about camping, fishing and spending time outside. My favorite in this display is the vintage red plaid handmade swimsuit that Sara mounted and bannered with "Summertime". Perfect on your mantel! The other gem in the display is the little folding 1940's camp grill! So get in to Monticello to browse the new display. We will keep refreshing in over the next few weeks. We ordered handmade s'mores from Butter in Vancouver, B.C. and will have those for sale in a few days. You have to come get a few for a special treat after your next BBQ. They are soooo good. Have some fun this summer and by all means - Go Camping!

Waves of Freedom
Do you know how lucky you are to live in The U.S.A.? Do you take your freedom for granted? I think all of us do at some time or another. But we live in a beautiful (amber waves of grain) country with freedoms and excesses everywhere. So take a moment to look around you and be thankful as we start the summer of 2013! As I prepared our new red, white and blue items to display at Monticello I thought alot about the sacrifices and love of country that have kept this country strong and moving forward by people of every age and color. Their sincere love and sacrifices keep this country strong. So long may she wave - the red, white and blue! Be proud to be an American.... I am!
Now come see some of the many delights that Monticello Marketplace has in store for you. You can't miss our display - it is bright and fun and right up front. Have a fun summer and please hang a flag to show the pride this country can have! Long may she wave.... Mary

Selling our home
It is time to sell this wonderful 100 year old house and move up closer to Portland to be closer to our children and my new business - Repent Antiques. We have had many fun times with great memories in this lovely home. I will miss her but we leave her in good condition with a new roof and recent paint job. There are 3 bedrooms in the house and a guest cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and loft. It has a great shop, a greenhouse, a garden shed and underground sprinklers. I would take all my mature Old English rose bushes with me but am told they must stay...We have chosen Windermere Real Estate with a wonderful broker - Deanna Gillett - her cell is 541-915-9759 if you want to come take a look. I am not looking forward to the actual move but am ready for a change. So if you know anyone looking for a great small town and a quiet lifestyle - give Deanna a call. She has lived in Cottage Grove herself a long time. And now the hard part - finding a new home.... Mary
The Bees Knees!
We are still having fun with our bee display and added some new treasures. The wonderful pine hutch sold so we put in a nice darker hutch with shelves and drawers. Come see all the new treasures and get 10% off during Monticello's Anniversary sale....

Bee Happy!
Today we did a complete change over at our booth in Monticello.
Seems easier than having to clean = take it all away and start over!
It is alot of work but so satisfying when you are done... So Bees are
the theme and we had yellow bee pendants swaged from above. Straw bee
skeps and bee lotion and soaps are piled everywhere. We even had a swarm
of bees on the wall. The nine foot Scandinavian pine bench is a one of a
kind antique. The pine table made out of an old door is so perfect. My
favorite is the large pine amoire with a multi pane front and generous shelves
inside - hope it does not sell;-) So come on in and see our new bee display.
I have to say thank you to Sierra (my talented daughter -in -law) and my hubby
Bob for all their help and patience today. We done good and had fun doing it..
win - win!! Come see what the buzz is all about....Happy Spring! Mary

What a show at Monticello!
So when all things come together just right - you have a great event! Joyce and Kelly have outdone themselves with the current Spring show at Monticello. So much to see. So many imaginative displays and vendors. It all came together and is amazing. The first day was a steady stream of customers and a steady stream of treasures being carried to cars. The good news is that we are all restocking like crazy. We will go up again with more plants - the ferns at $16 have been popular! Furniture has come and gone and been restocked too. I love the vintage green bins under the chalkboard! We have the perfect garden hats in too with a high sun block in them. So come try one on and be ready when that sun is out every day (wishing). Thank you Monticello for such a fun place for Sara to do her amazing displays and for me to search out the best vintage finds. We are having fun.... Come have some with us. We are working on our next display - bees! So watch.... Mary and Sara

Our New Space at Monticello
I love this new space at Monticello -everything about it just feels like home. We love the lighting and the beadboard ceiling. It is right up front at Monticello so that is a bonus too. Sara worked her magic yesterday and it came out better than expected. . She got lots of positive feedback as she was setting it up which she deserves for as hard as she works. I was the pack mule who carried everything to her. Hey - it was useful and I got to visit with the other vendors who were there. It all fell in place and it feels great. Please come sit a minute on the black leather bench and relax as you look around at our new home. We will continue to change out displays often - more reasons for you to visit. Welcome home Repent!
So the garden show starts on April 12 at Monticello and you had better make a day of it for yourself and a friend. Hope to see you there! Mary and Sara
