A New "old" Sign

Sara has been painting again - this time on an old cupboard door. "Chicks for Sale" how cute is that! This one really looks old but we make sure the tag says "New" on it. A nice one Sara!

You have to love the chippy paint. Looks like it sat in the weather for years. Come down to Monticello Antique Marketplace in Portland to see it and all the other amazing displays!

Hello 2016!

A fresh new display to start the New Year. The quilt is a real Amish made black sateen piece with a great graphic to it. Sara took the wooden cubbie that I had bought because it needed a complete re-do and she made it amazing. She replaced the bottom of all 48 drawers and put new knobs on them. She stained it and painted the "Edgar & Sons sign on top in gold paint. It is an amazing piece now and for sale for $295.00 (I told her she could not get $2,295.00 to cover the cost of her time and supplies).

Each drawer still has it's brass holder so you can label your supplies.

Kokodama - literally translates to "Moss ball" in Japanese. You can plant them with orchids and lady slippers as we did or choose any plant you wish.  We stuffed them with wet spaghnum moss to make those orchids happy. They have hangers but look good sitting on a pretty saucer too. Green and growing! Love them.

Another sign by Sara - Bakery. Lots of wire racks and plate holders to get your kitchen organized.

So get down to Monticello Antique Marketplace on Stark in Portland and see all the new displays including ours. Maybe I will see you there.... Mary
